Olympic Medallist
Katharine was one of Britain's most outstanding female athletes. Having been the fastest girl in the world aged 14 she then, 12 years later, became the fastest woman in world over 400m, as well as picking up an Olympic medal. Labeled as one of Britain's most talented female sprinters ever, Katharine's success at junior level was outstanding, starting her Great Britain career aged just 13.
Katharine broke UK records throughout her career in a variety of events and along with being the fastest woman in the World in 2001, her Olympic 400m medal in the Sydney Games, in the race of the Games was her biggest achievement.
Forced to retire in 2005 due to persistent injuries Katharine turned her attention to building her media/presenting career. She has worked with Sky, Eurosport and recently with BBC at the Beijing Olympics in a commentating role for athletics, modern pentathlon and triathlon.
Katharine is in demand with corporate and educational speaking engagements with such clients as Lloyds TSB and RBS, where she shares her inspiring story to help everyday people start thinking about their goals and how to go about achieving them.
She became an ambassador and mentor for UK Athletics and Norwich Union guiding the young athletes with her vast experience and knowledge.
As well as this Katharine hosts and MCs corporate events; and now is the sole in field presenter for all major UK Athletic meetings.
